Rhian Jenks Sigman’s passion in health and wellness began to develop from an early age. Rhian’s earliest family memories are of ‘fun runs’ around the neighborhood, long hikes, bike rides, and trips to the swimming pool! This constant level of activity later led to Rhian excelling in sports.
The next milestone in Rhian’s development as a personal trainer came while attending the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. While pursuing dual degrees in Exercise & Sports Science and Communication Studies Rhian spent a majority of her time as a scholarship athlete on the varsity track and field team. It was during this period that Rhian’s passion for working with others and taking pride in other’s accomplishments began to shape her everyday activities and led to her being named Captain of the women’s team beginning in her sophomore year. Other highlights of Rhian’s collegiate career include winning the Atlantic Coast Conference pole vault title in 2005 and being a 5-time All-ACC performer.
Instead of following her heart, Rhian listened to voices telling her to pursue a more stable career. Rhian decided to attend law school at UNC. Determination to succeed drove her to believe this was her path until her second year. But that passion for health just grew as she surrounded herself with individuals that faced daily struggles with balancing heavy workloads with taking time to exercise. While her commitment to complete what she started fueled Rhian through graduation, she traded in her J.D. and business suits for a personal training certification and yoga pants.
Upon moving to Austin, Rhian quickly established herself as one of the elite personal trainers in the downtown area. Each of Rhian’s clients is unique and receives the highest level of personalization. From the “bride to be” wanting to fit into her dream wedding gown to the business man with a demanding travel schedule, Rhian creates custom workout plans that take into account personal goals, access to equipment, and any other factors that might affect you from reaching your goals.
And if starting her own business wasn’t challenging enough, in 2013 Rhian, already a personal trainer and nutrition consultant with a JD added a new role to her resume: Mom. Callan, this newest team member of Invidia Fitness, inspired Rhian to expand her product offerings with options focused on expecting mothers and mothers with infants.
